As I noted in my previous post, storm path predictions are, well, unpredictable. In certain situations, the forecast path of a storm is very difficult plot with any degree of accuracy. And Hurricane Ike is in that situation. The models diverge from each other, and the forces that steer such a storm are unpredictable themselves. So we watch and see. At best, we will feel the effects of the outer bands of Ike, but fortunately, it looks like the eye (and the strongest winds that surround it) will not hit us directly.
